Playing Area Link Phoenix
Area Link Phoenix is an online slot played with five reels, each fielding three rows for win symbols each. Throughout your game, 20 fixed paylines will be in effect. Colourful phoenix symbols act as the slot’s Wilds. They can stand in for other symbols and help you complete winning combos. This may be the case for all regular symbols with the exception of the Fireball symbols. They may also create their own combos if enough of them show up on your reels at the same time!
Area Link bonus play
Whenever a fireball appears there is a chance for the Area Link mode to be triggered. While this is happening, each visible fireball gets counted towards the egg tracker of their respective colour. Different combinations of fireballs will determine the type of Phoenix Upgrades stepping into effect:
Yellow fireballs have their prizes based on your total bet. They also lock in place and award you three respins. Any subsequent yellow fireball will reset the counter and also lock in place. At the end of these bonus spins, the total number of fireballs on display will define the size of your purse, with the GRAND prize available whenever all positions on the reels have been filled with fireballs.
Orange phoenix mode will have every single spin boosted by a random multiplier between x2 and x5. Yellow fireballs appearing are also multiplied once before locking in on their positions.
Magenta phoenix mode will make another Area Link feature reel appear, with three respins in store. You can then play out the feature reel, with payouts independent of other prizes. Whenever either of these feature reel spins have been expended, or filled on all positions, the mode ends.
Red phoenix mode has red fireballs appear on the reels. They act as collect triggers, instantly awarding you the total prize sum of yellow fireballs currently on screen. After this has been paid out to you, a yellow fireball will appear in their place.
In Area Link Phoenix, multiple of these bonus modes may overlap at any point:
- Orange phoenix and magenta phoenix mode together will cause bonus multipliers to be used for all new yellow fireballs on both reels.
- Orange phoenix and red phoenix mode together will apply the bonus multiplier to all yellow fireballs appearing thereafter.
- Red phoenix and magenta phoenix mode together will cause red fireballs to collect any bonus prizes on their reels only.
