Step into a blazing volcanic realm where a golden dragon watches over eggs of shifting color, each one waiting to hatch into something that could change your spin entirely. Area Link™ Dragon Ascension is the latest chapter in the Area Link™ series, built around a rhythm of collection and transformation.
At the heart of it all is the Area Link™ Feature: Fireballs land on the reels and collect into eggs of matching color above them, and the exact combination that collects determines which Dragon Upgrades you're granted. Trigger it, and you're locked into a sequence of respins — Fireballs hold their place, new ones reset your remaining spins, and every Fireball on the board pays out a credit prize or jackpot once the feature ends. Build toward the Dragon Ascension Feature and you unlock an Area Link™ round stacked with a random set of Dragon Upgrades, with the GRAND jackpot waiting for you if you manage to fill every position.

The Area Link™ Feature
Whenever one or more Fireballs land, you have a chance of triggering Area Link™. Each Fireball collects to the egg of its matching color above the reels — and if a single symbol carries two Fireballs, it collects to both eggs at once. The combination of Fireballs that collects is what decides which Dragon Upgrades you receive.
Once triggered, you're awarded 3 respins, with every Fireball symbol locked in place for their duration. Landing an additional Fireball resets your respins back to 3, keeping the feature alive. Every Fireball on the board holds a cash prize or jackpot, paid out together once the feature ends — either when every position on the board is filled or your respins run out.
The Dragon Ascension Feature
Dragon Fireballs work the same way, but collect to the Dragon herself rather than the eggs. Land one or more and you have a chance at triggering Dragon Ascension — which, when it lands, hands you a full Area Link™ round with a random set of Dragon Upgrades already active.
Dragon Upgrades
Each Upgrade changes how your Area Link™ round plays out, and more than one can be active on the same spin:
- Green Dragon Upgrade — every spin awards a random multiplier of 2x, 3x, or 5x, applied once to Yellow Fireballs the moment they lock into place.
- Purple or Pink Dragon Upgrade — awards a second, independent Area Link™ array; if both are active together, you're playing four arrays at once, each resolving on its own.
- Red Dragon Upgrade — Red Fireballs instantly collect every new credit prize or jackpot in view, then convert into a Yellow Fireball once the feature completes.
- Blue Dragon Upgrade — Blue Fireballs add their value onto a random set of Yellow Fireballs, potentially more than once each, before converting into a Yellow Fireball themselves.
- Orange Dragon Upgrade — every Orange Fireball that lands has its prize boosted by a random amount, each spin.
When multiple Upgrades land together, they interact in specific ways — a Green multiplier applies to whichever Fireballs it touches across every active array, Red collections happen after any Blue additions, and Purple/Pink arrays keep Red and Blue effects contained within their own board rather than crossing over.
