Playing Balloon Race Live
Balloon Race Live is more than just an online slot experience, it’s a live game show with three distinct stages used by players to qualify for the big live Bonus round!
Players use a five-reel, three-row slot with ten fixed win lines to begin with. Wilds can turn into expanding Wilds and can be used to increase win multipliers before the final round.
Qualification Phase
Players get to use the reelset to qualify for later stages in the race. Each combination of at least three identical symbols along a win line awards a prize. The main goal, however, should be scoring three Scatters or triggering expanding Wilds.
- Scatters can award bonus multipliers, which in turn boost round earnings significantly.
- Expanding Wilds can substitute for other win symbols and help complete prize combos that way.
Once players qualify for the bonus round, any multipliers won so far will carry over to the Balloon Race bonus round. Refer to the in-game help menu, which shows updated values in realtime, for further info.
Top-up Phase
Once qualified, players will get the chance to play in the top-up Phase while waiting for the bonus round to begin. Tapping the TOP-UP button releases up to six balloons, with each of them containing a random top-up value. Balloons will rise towards the top edge of the screen or pop before getting there. Should a balloon reach the top, then its value will be added to the Bonus round’s overall Bonus value.
- Base value for the top-up phase is the total bet of the last round played in the qualification stage.
- Once this phase ends, players who qualify will automatically be queued for the bonus round.
- A pop-up will appear and invite players to join the bonus round. Players can elect to stay in the top-up phase or join other players for the final phase.
A passing plane will release coloured balloons containing more bonus values at the end of the top-up phase. They will also carry over to the bonus round.
The Balloon Race Bonus
For the finale the live host will cast an exciting balloon race directly from their own balloon’s gondola as many big bonus balloons keep floating towards the sky and huge bonuses.
The round starts with 80 balls of different colours being drawn one by one at random. Each ball will cause balloons of the same colour to ascend. The first balloon to do so five times in a row will be the winner, with the colour deciding which stack of multipliers will be applied to players’ total bets. All multipliers accumulated to this point - that’s Scatter wins, top-up earnings and the Bonus round itself - will come to bear at this point.
