Format basics — what you're actually betting on

- Fight length — standard fights are 3 rounds of 5 minutes each. Championship fights and main events are 5 rounds of 5 minutes each.
- Round breaks — 1 minute between rounds. This is the natural market reset window.
- How fights end — Knockout (KO), Technical Knockout (TKO), Submission, Decision (Unanimous, Split, or Majority), Disqualification, No Contest.
- Scoring — three judges score each round on a 10-point must system, with 10-9 being the standard "winner" score, 10-8 for dominant rounds, and 10-10 rarely used.

- Championship rounds are their own game. The 4th and 5th rounds of a title fight favour the fitter fighter and the one whose game plan travels — the market can lag behind visible cardio decline. A fighter looking sharp entering Round 4 often shortens dramatically in the next 5 minutes.
